Welcome to Cardgamelife!

I am Nick Griskov, and I have been collecting Pokémon cards for as long as I can remember. My favourite place to get cards was always the Spellekijn in Leeuwarden. In the schoolyard those cards were treated like gold. By trading, winning them in games we made up ourselves and getting them from my lovely parents, I finally managed to complete my first Pokémon set in a binder.

It did not take long before I got curious about the game played with those cards. The Spellekijn was the perfect place to learn it with the cards I had collected. And guess what: I was hooked.

After playing tournaments across the Netherlands, meeting great people and making legendary trades, the adults in the hobby had a lot of respect for me as a young kid.

Later I discovered Magic: The Gathering, and I never really stopped playing, trading and building a collection.

After all those years one thing had become clear: all my old cards kept going up in value. It is great to see that a collection you built over the years brings you both money and joy.

That is why it is my mission to make sure that you, by enjoying this wonderful hobby, earn money with it too.
